Homework for 03 Dec

HUGE CHANGE!

- PARENTS and Students will meet in the Fellowship Hall (right next to the main Patch Chapel) at 1030, immediately after fellowship. We will discuss details of the retreat and answer any questions. The parent meeting will end at 1050, and the Students will resume class (starting at the Blessed Sacrament Chapel). We will end class at 1130 in the normal CRE Building. Please ACKNOWLEDGE this change by clicking this link and putting the student name.

Also, signed permission forms are due on 4 Dec and FULL registration due 3 Dec.

  1. Watch the TWO Catholic Central Videos below. Choose one and watch it with your parents. Please excuse the puns, but the information they actually share is very well presented.
    (704) Eucharist 101 | Catholic Central - YouTube
    (704) Real Presence | Catholic Central - YouTube

  2. Ask your parents what the Eucharist is and why it’s important? Is it just a symbol of Jesus? What does Transubstantiation mean?

  3. Write down 2 questions or thoughts regarding the lesson in your journal (Ideas/prompts: things you didn't know; “I agree with this bc”; “I disagree with this because”; “why is it that?”; conversations you had with your parents regarding the lesson, etc). Be prepared to share this with your small group.

  4. Keep Memorizing the 12 Fruits of the Spirit, 7 Gifts of the Holy Spirit, and 8 Beatitudes (Found here: Mandatory Knowledge Items Link; if you scroll down on the page, there is also a link to the paper copy of the Mandatory knowledge Items). BE PREPARED TO WRITE THEM DOWN BY YOURSELF :).

  5. Turn in your Confirmation Sponsor form if you did not do that already - THIS WAS DUE LAST WEEK. (This is under your personal page StudentProfileXX. Click on Homework Upload and upload the document under: "Upload a copy of your Confirmation Sponsor Form.” Blank form can be found in the link below the "upload" box.") You may also turn in the physical form if you'd like.

  6. WRITE DOWN your plan (in your Journal) to get at least 10 community service hours before Confirmation. If you’ve already done some, please make sure that your supervisor or your parents fill out the form, sign, and submit it. Remember, there are THREE options for how to get the form submitted…READ THE DIRECTIONS….please :). If you want ideas, go HERE and scroll to the bottom.

    Weekly Expectations

  7. Bring your journal to class. If you bring your personal Bible, you will probably also do better at the Bible Duels :).

  9. Log any completed Community Service hours (This is under the Confirmation II page, under the tab Community Service or Click Here: Community Service Link ).
